The Laiykin Creator GrantRound 1 · PilotI'm buying one small creator a $100 thing for their work.
This is a one-time pilot. You tell me the thing that would help (gear, software, supplies, a course), and if I pick you, I buy it or pay the seller directly. Free to apply. Closes Sun, Nov 8.
Why I'm doing this
Hi, I'm Laiykin. I'm funding this myself, with no sponsor. I see a lot of people making great stuff with a cracked mic and free software, and I wanted to see what one well-picked upgrade could do for somebody.
It's small and it's a test. If it goes well, I'll figure out future rounds after.
Who can apply
- Under 5,000 followers on your largest platform, counted on the day you apply.
- Any kind of creator. If you're not on social media (Etsy, Bandcamp, a portfolio site), a link to your work counts.
- You've shared at least three pieces of work in the last 90 days.
- 18 or older and living in the US.
The item
One item or one-time purchase, up to $100 all-in, including tax and shipping. Tell me the exact item and send a link. A one-time prepaid term of software is fine. A recurring subscription isn't. If it's sold out or unavailable, we'll choose a replacement together within the $100 limit.
How it's picked
I read every application myself and make the pick. As long as you're under 5,000, your follower count doesn't matter at all.
| A specific plan: the item and how it moves your work forward | 40% |
| Consistency in your recent work | 30% |
| Originality and voice | 20% |
| How much the item unblocks your work | 10% |
If it's a tie, I'll go with whoever's plan is clearest. I won't ask about your finances, health or personal hardship, and you don't need to share them.

The fine print
No purchase necessary. Entering is free. Following, reposting or buying anything won't help your chances. This is a one-time pilot (Round 1). Open to legal US residents aged 18 or older. Void where prohibited. My family members can't enter. One entry per person. Applications are accepted from Oct 26, 2026 to Nov 8, 2026, 11:59 pm CT.
Eligibility: fewer than 5,000 followers on your largest platform, measured on the day you apply. Creators without a social following qualify with a link to work they made. I may check that the linked work is yours.
Judging: specific plan 40%, consistency 30%, originality 20%, how much the item unblocks the work 10%. Ties are decided by Laiykin based on clarity of plan. Laiykin reviews every application and makes the final decision. The winner is contacted by email and has 72 hours to confirm, or another applicant is picked.
Prize: one item or one-time purchase worth up to $100 USD including tax and shipping, bought by Laiykin or paid to the seller directly. No cash alternative and no recurring subscriptions. Substitutions are made within the cap. A shipping address or store details are requested from the winner only. The winner is responsible for any taxes.
Your info: Spotlight and email opt-ins are optional, unchecked by default, and don't affect selection. I'll ask before quoting anyone's application publicly. The winner is named only with their permission. Application info is used only to run the grant. Applications from people who don't win are deleted 30 days after the winner is announced.
